  After moving to Townsville about 16 months ago, I have attended this practice faithfully, as I suffer from several chronic illnesses I prefer if possible to stay with one good doctor, if I find them. Luckily for me I had two Doctors, who were excellent in every way possible, with my chronic illnesses. However when they were away, all except one a Doctor Johnson, who was friendly and considerate in their absence. But if he was not available along with my regulars. The rest of them were very rude - uncaring - and in some cases couldn't care less, and not wanting to give me my regular medication, and told me to come back when my Doctor returned in 4 or 5 days or so. This was very difficult, as the medications were such that you needed new repeats fortnightly, more or less on the dot. So I was not a happy chapppy at all. Dr. Bahman was an excellent doctor, and you could tell he knew his stuff, and trust what he said to you about your medical conditions. However my first Doctor & Dr. Bahman, both have now moved on and out of town. So I thought I would stay with the practice, for my records are all there and so forth. I had seen a lady Doctor a few weeks before, when all the others were away, to get my scripts. I had asked her if she was taking on any more patients, as Dr. Bahman was leaving soon, she just said she couldn't make any changes to my medication, while I was still Dr. Bahmans patient. This I understood, but she never told me she wouldn't be willing to have me as a patient. So imaging my shock and disbelief , last week, when I made my regular appointment with her, and she was absolutely outright rude to me, and said I will give you your scripts this time, but I am not prepared to go to all the trouble I would need to do, to be able to write these scripts, on an everyday basis, and I dought very much, that any one else here at the practice, would be willing to do so either! I think you should leave here now, and not come back and find yourself another practice. Well I was dumfounded, hurt and angry, to say the least, that someone that supposed to be in a caring position, could be so darn rude and uncaring. As a result I will never go back there for any kind of medical help, even if they were the last Medical Practice in Townsville.

  Had an appointment with Dr Stella today a brilliant female Dr. She was very approachable and knowledgeable about my issues and put me at ease and on the right path. Receptionist staff lovely to deal with. Thank you to one and all for a positive experience.

  My regular medical practice is about 30 minutes away so thought I'd try My Family Doctors Kirwan. Bad decision. Arrogant young doctor couldn't have been less caring, making my feel I was wasting his valuable time. What an over educated prat. Reception staff were lovely and I'm sure permanent doctors at the surgery are brilliant.

  Who knows! some time in the future, she may be in the same medical situation I am in, how will she feel if some Doctor was to treat her in that same uncaring, and very rude manner. It is such a shame we loose all the good ones to out of town, and we get stuck, with the uncaring individuals.

  Terrible practice. No help from doctors because they hadn't seen you previously. Reception do their best to continually misplace reports etc. the so called practice manager is a disgrace and is far too un hygienic to be seen as an employee at a medical practice.was ok when p.k was there now it's not fit to take your dog.

  Dr Bahmann is an excellent Dr. He is the first I have EVER come across who made it clear that he was invested in my long-term health. The reception staff have always been lovely, but I admit the wait times have been ridiculous sometimes (standing and jiggling a baby and wrangling a toddler). Wherever he's headed to next, I wish him the best of luck.

  If Dr. Taybeath, and Dr. Bahman, should read this, I would very much like to thank them for all there help, and their dedication to their job, and work ethics.
